Sonic Versatility in a Small Package: Erica Synths Announces Three New Pico Modules

Prolific synth maker launches Pico SEQ2 sequencer, BBD delay and PIco NOISE — available now

Riga, Latvia, July 10, 2019 — Erica Synths continues the evolution of its popular Pico line with the introduction of three new Eurorack modules: the SEQ2 sequencer, BBD delay and Pico NOISE. All of the new modules — which pack a punch despite their small size — were unveiled at Superbooth 2019 in May and are now available for order.

The Pico SEQ2
The Pico SEQ2

The Pico SEQ2 is straight-forward, full analogue 4 step sequencer/waveshaper with adjustable sequence length. This is the perfect choice for users who want to have a simple, compact stepped modulation source in their setup. An interesting sonic dimension of the Pico SEQ2 is its waveshaping capability — simply apply any audio source to the CLK IN and tweak the knobs for astounding results.

Pico SEQ2 features:

  • Up to 4 steps analogue sequencer
  • Step count selection 2-3-4
  • Full analogue circuit
  • Input and output protection against over-voltage
  • Protection against reverse PSU connection
The Pico BBD
The Pico BBD

The Pico BBD is a sonically astounding, full analogue 4092 stage bucket brigade delay module — the smallest BBD in Eurorack. Besides its capability of producing nice and clean flanging and delay effects, the unit can produce extreme sonic artifacts by adjusting the TIME and feedback knobs.

Pico BBD features:

  • Full analogue circuit
  • 4092 stage BBD chip
  • Up to 300ms delay time
  • CV control over delay time
  • Input and output protection against over-voltage
  • Protection against reverse PSU connection
The Pico NOISE
The Pico NOISE

The Pico NOISE is a versatile noise and percussion sound source in a small package. It consists of a white noise generator and a resonant VCF to generate various colors of the noise. This can include extremely dark noises to high pitched resonant sweeps. A VCA/decay envelope generator combination can be used to create a range of percussion sounds to emulate hi-hats, cymbals and even sine tone-based percussion when the resonance is turned up.

Pico NOISE features:

  • White noise generator
  • Resonant VCF for colored noise
  • VCA and decay envelope combo for percussion sounds
  • Input and output protection against over-voltage
  • Protection against reverse PSU connection
